Who is Liz?

I'm no professional and I probably do lots of things the wrong way, but I love to cook and I love to eat. Most of the food I make is cheap, healthy, and delicious. So! Here I am to share with you some of my adventures with comida!

---When I started this blog I was unemployed and looking for fun creative outlets. But currently I have two jobs and much less free time. I'll still try to post, but maybe you'll see easier, less involved, comfort foods more than anything else! Also, some friends will be blogging with me, so if you are interested in sharing a recipe, let me know and I'll let you add a little delectable tidbit to this conglomerate of culinary creativity!---

I'm Liz. I currently live in Texas, though I am not from here. I enjoy food from anywhere and everywhere and I especially enjoy the people that make it and eat it.

Almost everything I make starts the same way: frying pan with olive oil and garlic.

I am convinced that garlic is one of the best flavors in the world, actually, I would dare name it THE Best.

I like knowing what's in my food. Usually I will cook with food items that do not contain ingredients that I can't pronounce, are not processed, and are, whenever possible, fresh.

My exception is pasta. I have yet to make it on my own, so for now mononitrate, folic acid, and thiamine, you are inside of me, even though I don't know what you are.

I lived in Spain for a bit which does not help me much in the kitchen, but I am partial to all things Spanish, including their amazing olive oils.

These are my foodie thoughts. Here are my (sometimes) deeper, (usually) non-food related musings.
